Chem Practicals and New Haircut

Earlier this morning was our Chem 16 practical exams. Included in the exam were producing a blue flame in a bunsen burner, managing a cookie inside the lab (GOLDEN RULE: never eat inside the lab. a free cookie is a bait) and tests to practical lab skills. It was FUN. I produced a blue flame without any problems, made a filtration setup with everything in order and stopped myself from eating the cookie. Hurray, no deductions.

The rest of my classes are that interesting to share and it worthwhile skipping. After all my classes, I went to a Fix (Bench) Salon in Katipunan. I needed a new haircut for my 2x2 picture (for my DilNet SA application together with my resume).

Here it is.

I was supposed to upload those photos thru mobile but I realized I've been spending much prepaid credits lately for mobile browsing. Amf. I had to get up from bed to upload this.

Anyway, I am accepting link exchange for this blog. Requirements for the Link Exchange are: 1.) I know you, 2.) you know me, and 3.) you are willing to give me a reciprocal link (duh, that's why it's called link exchange).

Good night.

USC Elections 2009 Preparations

It's a Monday, a working holiday yet there's no classes in UP at least where Monday is a free day (as in free beer, not free speech).

My phone's alarm clock woke me up about 10 in the morning. After turning off the alarm, I checked my inbox right away to check my daily agenda courtesy of Google Calendar. I was about to rejoice when I saw another item in my inbox reminding me of a 10am briefing with Ma'am Betsy (VC Enriquez) for the upcoming USC Elections 2009. What the!! I had to rush to the bathroom to take a bath and gussy up.

It was 10 minutes to 11am when I arrived for the briefing. I was very late, but someone came later than I did. Haha. The briefing was almost over - the IDs were already issued and our mobile phone credits were about to be distributed. We had mobile credits allocation for official use during the elections (e.g. for emergencies, urgent info dissemination, reporting, etc).

After the briefing, the group went to the Dilnet Helpdesk for report generation demonstration. Then we just fooled around the room 'cause there was an outstanding issue with the server. The server wasn't processing PHP files therefore we can't hop to our precints to demonstrate and check the accuracy of official ballots. It had to be postponed tomorrow.

Everything NEEDS to work as expected. The fallback plans are just too stressful.Good luck for us, the technical team.

A New Blog

Hey guys, Mikko, for the nth time, opened another blog. Just bear with him.

Anyway, why am I writing in third-person if I could write in first-person? Hahahaha.

I am plainly bored on blogging at Build that Geek for several reasons. For one, I need to maintain the quality of my posts in there. Wahahaha. Stressing!

In this blog, expect an on-the-go Mikko. The real me. The real geek. Wahahaha. I'll be blogging the things I do everyday. I'll be using both my laptop and mobile phone for this "project".

I don't think I'm monetizing this blog 'till the time I find it necessary. But mind you, I'll keep track of my traffic.

I think I need to get some real sleep now. I'll be busy for the next few days. Training, USC elections, classes, etc.

Bye.
